Short and Sweet*

(I took this picture on MY PHONE at central park in strawberry fields. <3)

Im so terrible at keeping up with this thing! Maybe because part of me i crazy busy running around trying to start my career, and maybe there's another part of me that doesn't think anyone reads this silly thing, and so i don't care all that much to update it. I decided to get over both of these things because i dont need readers to write, and i dont need all that much time to sit and just update this because its EXTREMELY fun for me to go back and read what i wrote a couple months ago. :)

So i moved into my apartment in NYC and i am LOVING the east village! Lots of cool people, lots of cool restaurants, lots of cool shops, and it doesn't hurt to live a 10 min walk from soho and chinatown. ;) I handed out about 23908402983 resumes and i've gotten call backs/interviews with a couple... and the two i narrowed it down to are Cutler Salon and Arrojo Studio! (the two places that i've been drawn towards for months now, andddd ironically, they are rival salons.) I have my final interview processes this week so i'll know where i get hired, and if in the case i get hired at both-- I am almost 100% positive that i'm going to be joining the Cutler Salon team. Not to say that Arrojo Studio is worse than Cutler, but more so, Cutler seems to fit me and my vision for where i want to be 10 years from now. Not to mention, i feel like God has reallllllllly been pulling me towards Cutler since i heard about it.... and when you are in doubt with anything... tuck away all the glitz&glam and just go with what God has for you. Whenever i was confused or worried... i took the way that God was leading me, and as scary as it seemed at first--it always turned out to be better than anything i would have ever dreamed in the first place (and more!)

I am extremely excited for my 21st birthday coming up next week! (June 16!!) I cant believe how the past 21 years has flown by. It still feels like yesterday that i was celebrating my 6th birthday at Chucky Cheeses where my big brother almost got in a fight with the guy dressed up Mr. Chucky Cheese himself! ohhh, the good times. <3

A few of my friends are heading up to the city to come visit me for a couple days this week... which is always a good time! I am so blessed to have such amazing people in my life. To love me when I'm at my worst, to encourage me when i am down, to pray for me when i need spiritual strength and healing, to laugh at me when i'm a goof (which is pretty much 99.9% of the time!), to cry with me when i feel like the world is falling apart before my eyes, or to just sit and drink some tea with me while enjoying a good book! In the Bible it describes how brothers and sisters in Christ do these things together, that God gives us these special people to fellowship with, to love, to have community with... and the main reason is because in each one of us is a little piece of God, a little piece of Christ right there, and when we love eachother, spend time together, laugh together, cry together, its us spending time with that little Christ in all of us.

I have nothing more to say... except-- its so breathtaking to think of all the little Christs God has put in my life... How am i so blessed?

Love, love, love, LOVE--

I said i want you, exactly like i used to<3

CAN I SAY THAT IVE BEEN WITH KINGS OF LEON LATELY??
--If you dont have the latest CD... i HIGHLY recommend going out and INVESTING IN IT--NOTTT DOWNLOADING IT. Lets not steal from the hardworking talented musicians out there. We are FANS... not THIEVES. The more you purchase the awesomeness which is music, the more music is made--comprende? :)

Now moving on to my little remark about illegal piracy of music... WOW ITS BEEN A WHILE SINCE IVE UPDATE THIS THING!! Its been well over a month... and a well over amount of things have happened in my life... I feel like this is an everyday thing (and i pray it continues to be an everyday thing)... God has blessed me so much, has taught me so much, has pulled me through when i thought i couldnt be pushed/pulled/kicked/dragged/etc through anymore. He has proven to be, and continues to be so faithful, so unfailing, so LOVING, and i dont even know where to start to thank Him. All i know is this--that i couldnt be more grateful for this Savior i have, for this God who laid His life down for me, who came back to life just to have a personal relationship with me, who gives me more than i deserve, who puts me through the fire to teach me and make me stronger but ultimately--for a God to love me so unconditionally that it absolutely makes NO sense. Thank you Jesus, thank you so much.

Today was matthew's 20th birthday, and we were out all day celebrating--meaning im tired. Buttttt i figured it has been so long that i would give you readers a brief update of my life...

Well I PASSED MY STATE BOARDS!! So i am officially a licensed cosmetologist in the state of PA. I got a friggin' 98%!!! If THATS not God, IONO WHAT IS!! I alsooooo got an apartment in East Village...which was another God situation which i cant even being to explain... butttt with everything falling into place, i am moving to NYC this coming monday...

So much has happened, I went to Boston--had an amazing/refreshing time with Dave and Emma... did a photoshoot--which was one of the greatest learning experiences to date... spoke to Nick Arrojo who wants me to come in for an interview a.s.a.p.... and hosted a yard sale for my youth group that was so successful that i couldnt thank God enough for the funds He helped provide to make this youth road trip possible...

I guess my main point through this entire entry is to never stop thanking God for EVERYTHING you have in your life. Its so simple to lose track of the good, and focus on all the things that need to be done, that didnt get done, or doesnt look like will ever get done. Dont stress, dont worry, dont freak out--take a breath, do a silly dance, blast your favorite song, and lay in the grass under the warm sun-- Because its in the time that we step aside and just remember the simple things of life that we see how much God is REALLY there. How no matter the circumstances in which we find ourselves in or the situation of where life has called you--God still has given you enough strength to recollect your thoughts and just smile at the mere thought of His goodness and all the things you DO have.

I pray you never take things for granted. I pray you never forget how much God loves you. I pray that no matter how far you have fallen, no matter how fast you want to run in the opposite direction of Him, that when you are ready to turn around and go back to the place you have come from--that God will be there waiting for you, smiling, even singing, for your return.

How blessed are we to have such a God? To WANT to love us, to WANT to forgive us, to WANT to have a personal and intimate relationship with us even when we dont deserve or want it too? Even as a Christian, i dont understand it, but all i know is--i hope i NEVER take THAT for granted.

Love

all we want is to be enough, all we want is to feel loved.

TODAY WAS THE FIRST DAY THAT I WOKE UP BEFORE 9:30 ON MY OWN--WITHOUT AN ALARM CLOCK--SINCE SCHOOL HAS BEEN OVER!!!

i feel pretty damn awesome right now! :)

sooo heres a lil update on the wonderful life that God has blessed me with!

Well i sent my resume out to arrojo almost two weeks ago... and heard nothing. at all.
People think i am mad/upset...or something negative... but yet again, God has revealed to me that things will all fall into place in HIS time... not my own...

I never really felt 100% on the whole arrojo thing, not to say i am not interested anymore--BC I DEFINITELY AM! But theres also other places i can work... and the most important thing to me isnt money, isnt opportunity, or even what I WANT... the MOST important thing to me for everything i do, and for every aspect of my life, is that what i do, where i go--is where God wants me. I cant stress enough at how perfect His plan is, at how perfect His timing is, at how much He loves me (and all of you, in that case) that He would never send me somewhere that was bad for me, or not a part of the plan He has for my life. And the more i dwell in His perfectness... i feel more and more settled about it all.

For the past few months i had this personal "deadline" that i wanted to reach. Kind of my goal plan that i needed to accomplish and i was starting to freak out because it was being pushed back further and further. But than i remembered how silly i sounded... how could i try to play God and act like i knew how everything was gonna fall together--let alone WHEN they would fall together. Im so goofy sometimes. lol

But heres some more cool news... God's guidance coming in a strange package maybe. Funny how He does that sometimes lol...

Sooo i was crying the one night, freaking out, to my hair stylist--well mentor really. Matthew has been close friends to the family since i was about 13... and he also a very established and internationally known in the industry. His work has been featured in many fashion week shows, magazines, and other forms of editorial work... not to mention he, himself, has been featured in numbers of different magazines to recognize him and his accomplishments in the industry... He was telling me not to put all my eggs in one basket... and he even suggested this salon called Cutler's salon (opened by renowned redken stylist Rodney Cutler) in soho... He has worked with Rodney many times for fashion week in NYC and Matthew's boss, Patrick McIvor worked for Rodney... So they are hooking me up with an interview hopefully... and a few nights later i received an e-mail from my friend dave who moved up to NYC with his gf to pursue his career... and in the e-mail, he answered alllll the question's ive been praying about (not to mention, i didnt even ask dave any of the questions that he just answered anyways! CRAZY, RIGHT?) and alsooooo Dave told me that he highly recommended that i checked out Cutler Salon...AND I NEVER EVEN TOLD HIM THAT MATT WAS WORKING ON GETTING ME IN THERE! So a little confirmation from God??? Maybe... but i suppose we'll see...

There's a lot of stuff going on with my extended family that i am pretty much in the middle and doing God's work in... and when i think back and realize that if i really had gone through with everything in MY timeline... i wouldnt have been home to be the Christ light in this situation, something terrible couldve already happened... but since everything was pushed back, i was here, i was able to do the things God needed me to do... and THAT is a miracle in itself.

It just shows that patience and trust and love all work together... you cant be one without the other... And God is all these things...

So i'm taking one day at a time... doing the things He wants me to do in THAT day, and not worry bout tomorrow or yesterday...

Yesterday is gone, so forget about it
Tomorrow is NEVER promised to us
Today is all we have... today is the day that i live because i may never get another.

Ppl refer to today at the present... and it truly is a gift. Love it, thank God for it, and seek His presence in it with every last breath you take. You never know, before you take your next breath, you may be in Heaven before Him.

Love you.

Great is thy faithfulness.

Its friday night...

and my matthew is oober sick... i feel terrible... from what it sounds like, he has what i had a few weeks ago. The way i felt i would never, EVER wish it upon even my worsttttt enemy... and the fact that he's going through it breaks my heart. I hate when my matty is sick. He's always the healthy one in the relationship. :[

butttt--ON THE BRIGHT SIDE OF THINGS!!!

God has been SOO good to me. Sooooo faithful. My prayers are being answered in bundles and it amazes me at how the combination of prayer, obedience, and patience all work together. I wrote a longggg blog about two effects of prayer... how we pray and ask FOR things, but we never ask for DIRECTION in things...

i wrote that blog because i had a revelation, and heard many heart moving testimonies from people at church, with that combination. When i FINALLY decided to stop trying to take everything on my own... i not only became so much happier and peaceful... but i could see the work was doing when i finally gave it over and surrendered it all to Him....

When i first started this blog i was in a mess of worries and stressful situations... and even though i kept telling myself i needed to just trust the Lord, its hard to do that when you dont give your time to Him, when you dont actually get on your knees and not only beg Him to forgive you for being such a stubborn sinful fool, but to also really hear Him out.

I did that last week... and ive been doing that ever since. All i can say is... miracles, Miracles, MIRACLES.

Im not going to go into the depth of my family issues... but all i know is He is doing such amazing work there that when i look for Jesus in the midst of it all, all i can do is cry and be so thankful when i see how much He is really there.

BUT I WILL GO INTO MY CAREER SITUATION!! I was so exhausted sitting and thinking about what i was going to do, who i could really trust, where was i going to go with my education... and again, GOD IS SO FRIGGING FAITHFUL THAT I COULD SCREAM! (which i could, if my parents werent so exhausted from their trip) Sooooo my parents own a restaurant which is next door to one of the biggest modeling agencies in the tri-state area (aside from NYC obviously.) The president of the modeling agency is also the president of the beauty school i attended, and more than that-- he has been a very close friend of the family since i was 6. Ever hear of a show called "What NOT to Wear?" Well the stylist for that show is the internationally known stylist/educator/razor extrodinair!/the head kahuna of the hair styling world...Nick Arrojo. Nick has a huge salon/school in NYC. People work YEARSSS to work under Nick. Well Mr. President of the modeling agency/school/family friend is really good friends with Mr. Arrojo. For months our friend has been talking me up telling me that he was going to get me there... and for months i waited and trusted his word. And i didnt see/hear anything.... I started freaking out.. even crying.. and for some retarded reason, i was scared to approach him about the situation, or even take it into my own hands. To me, if i went after it, i wasnt trusting God and letting Him do the work--HAHAHAHAHA. Can we all just join together...and then point & laugh in my silly lil asian face?? Well like i said, i finally PRAYED ABOUT IT, i finally SPENT TIME TALKING TO GOD ABOUT IT... and He gave me the strength, and the boldness to finally write some emails, and call the damn friend and get things moving...

here i am... a little over a week later... signed up for 4 seperate advanced training classes with AMAZING stylists... ANDDDDD ((drum roll please)) and interview with Nick Arrojo HIMSELF.

I make the call tomorrow to officially set everything up... but all is not done yet. I dont want to speak too soon.. but all i know is, that handing it ALL to the Lord really does make a difference... and when you are bold and go after the things you want... ONLY THAN will things happen. Sitting back and waiting for the call wont happen... sometimes you have to take that Go given strength and put it to work! So if you are sitting there contemplating ANYTHING... STOP CONTEMPLATING! The world is yours to grab and take hold... whatever should be yours--WILL BE YOURS. You just have to trust God, and take a pure leap of faith. He has promised you so many things... but if you dont want to take advantage of those promises, you have no one to blame but yourself.

So here i am... taking hold of my dreams and praising Jesus for His strength to do so, and for His spirit to guide my every step.

Now all i have to do is not only get His guidance... BUT STOP BEING SUCH A WIMP AND FOLLOW WHAT HE TELLS ME! In a matter of A WEEK... i listened, i obeyed... and here i am pretty much at the doorstep of my dreams.

Keep praying for those who have kept me in their prayers, because now that i got the interview.. comes the hard part... GETTING THE JOB.

But this i most definitely know... that if it was meant for me... God will supply me with all the right tools to get what He has planned for me to have.

Thank you for your prayers... KEEP PRAYING!!

LoveLoveLove,
Stace.

This is the way You make all things New.

(this was a t-shirt print i saw on a boardwalk in OC,MD... i want this tattooed on me.)

God is doing so many amazing things in my life... and I feel like quite the fool when i complain about the little things to not see the bigger picture...

Again... can i please inform EVERYONE who doesnt believe... PRAYER CHANGES THINGS... MANY MANY THINGS!!!

I think the whole concept of prayer somehow got altered through time. Whenever i tell people to prayer for me, or when people ask me to pray for them... for some reason, the initial connection we make with prayer is that we have this huge notion that if we ask God to do something, and we do it with some selfish request... we expect Him to act on that prayer right away. Another notion is that when we pray about something or we ask for something... we what it to all fall into place according to OUR time... or what we think is most convenient to US.

We're such silly people.

Since my blog is indeed titled "daily revelations" i have had a revelation recently... well actually its been revealed to me time and time again... (yes, this is where i laugh at myself and my broken human nature)... Prayer DOES change things... but theres two parts to this...

1. In GOD's time
2.  By US doing OUR part too.

Like i stated before... we always expect to pray and ask and expect things NOW or expect things that align to whatever schedule that WE have laid out for ourselves and our "controlled" lives... but this doesnt align. Mind you, sometime God does answer prayers a little faster than you'd think (ive had this happen on several occasions, its quite bone chilling yet amazing all in the same experience!) but also we must trust that He will answer our prayers. Not necessarily when and how we want them... but according to HIS time and ultimately to HIS will. You see, has a plan for you, a plan for me, a plan for this world and how its going to run, and even how its going to end. So again, dont sit, and pout, or even some people become angry and bitter bc "God didnt do this for me, He didnt give me this, He didnt show up here..." Let me remind you... He will do what is GOOD for you, and lets be honest with ourselves-- what WE want isnt always the best thing for us. He will give... "Ask and you shall recieve" but again... greed and selfishness wasnt part of His plan. He has it all laid out, He has it allllll under control. And sometimes we may not understand why certain things happen, how they happened, or what the lesson is... but He has stated several times--if you look for Him in any and every situation WITH YOUR WHOLEEEE HEART... you WILL find Him in the midst of it all. Our finite minds werent designed to ever understand His perfect plan for our lives... but the closer you become to Him, the more time and devotion and love you pour back into your RELATIONSHIP with Him, His plan for you will become easier and easier for you to understand... I have friends... and family (CLOSEE friends and CLOSEE family) going through situations right now that they dont understand... but i cant help but smile... because i know that He is bringing them closer and closer to wanting and needing Him... and also because i know and trust how perfect His plan is... and i cant wait to see these people blossom and bloom into what He intended to be the end result... When it all comes down to it... dont lose faith because you think your prayers arent being answered... dont lose persistence or perseverance on these things on your heart... God placed those things or those people or those situations on your heart for a reason... so keep on praying... keep on believing... keep on focusing on Him in every situation... and you'll see you have nothing to worry about.

Now the part where we have to do OUR part. HAHAHAHA silly right?? US HAVING TO ACTUALLY GET UP AND DO SOME WORK TOO?! WHAT A CONCEPT! We all ask for things separately, or things as groups, as churches, even as nations! But i have come to realize that when we pray... we arent only asking for things from God, but for guidance on things from God. What prayer actually is... is you spending time with Him. You hanging out with Him. You having a chit-chat with your friend (well more like your creator... but anyways...) When you sit and talk to friends about your issues, about your problems, about you wishes, about your hopes and your aspirations, what are you really looking for in these conversations? No doubt, you're looking for good company and support, but you're also looking for their advice, for their input, for their guidance even. So when we pray, why do we put so much focus on what HE needs to do... but not listen with more open hearts and ears as to what WE need to do. We always ask for help... we always ask Him to have hands on situations... but when did we forget that we are "The hands and feet of the body..." When did we lose sight of the fact that we are His workers, His ambassadors, His reps in this world we live in? We need to stop being so selfish and constantly asking Him to do this and to do that... but instead we need to ask Him for guidance, for strength, for His company, and ultimately, for what we CAN and what we SHOULD do. In all reality... He's already given so much (and He will continue to give you more and more... we're truly a blessed bunch, arent we?) We need to act like the hands and feet of this body. Again, He does have a plan... but if we just sit on our butts and wait on Him... thats not gonna get anyone far... We must be a bold people... we must be a people who lives out the things we are guided and called to do. We are the messengers of the Good News... but if we aren't gonna do anything to deliver the news... well than we're pretty much a bunch of ppl who talk a lot of talk but arent willing to do the walk. I think its funny how we are so ready and eager to do the things that people we trust tell us to do... or take the advice and go about that advice based on the words of our friends... and in no way am i down playing when we do this--- bc i believe that these people do have the best interest in heart for you... but who could have better advice and better guidance and better strength than the guy who already KNOWS where you're going to end up?? Who can tell you what to do better than the guy who WROTE our that plan before you were even born? So im not saying discredit the advice from those you love... but lets be bold... and do those crazy things that God is telling us to do.... He not only has your best interest in mind, but He isnt basing these interests on YOU... but on His already perfect plan. Dont stop praying just because, again, you feel like your prayers are going unheard and unanswered... but instead...listen like you would if your mom was giving you advice. Do what you're told like if someone you deeply cared about and trusted would tell you to do. Keep praying... because, lets not forget, you have the things on your heart for a reason... and its because He placed those things there "Delight thyself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart" Whatever is on your heart was put there by Him... and Hes doing that so you pray about it, thus talking and discussing it with Him, and He needs you to do what He tells you, so that these things can change, so that these prayers can start to be answered, so that you can act as any part of the body He needs you to be, what He has called you to do.

Ive been a Christian for a little less than two years now... and it has been one hard... but a beautiful ride. And in this time... i have so many things on my heart... the obvious being my family, my friends, my career... for so long i've been basking in this personal relationship with my savior... but in the past few weeks he's been telling me to be his hands and feet... he's been asking me to take part in answering my prayers... he's been strengthening me and guiding me to make my next move... Im not innocent of anything i wrote about. If guilty people have bloodstained hands... well i could be considered dripping in it like Carrie.

Im declaring this now. I will not be impatient anymore... but wait for my next step. I will trust in my Jesus, because He has ALWAYS been faithful. He has given me so much proof within the past WEEK how much He is doing... and will continue to do... Ive been persistently praying for them... and ive shedded many tears bc i felt so discouraged when things werent happening in MY time or in the way that IIII expected and wanted them to... but when everything is said and done... HE HAS BEEN FAITHFUL. When i looked for Jesus in all my situations, in all my worries, and in all my complaining... He surely was doing His work... and i just have to trust that... and be ready to be bold and take a leap in pureeee *organic* faith when He tells me to make my next move...

Dont be impatient... all things fall together in time...
Dont be angry when things dont come in the packages you want... because the most beautiful things in life come at times and in packages that we leastttttttt expect...
Dont be scared to make a move... throughout history, it was always the BOLD ones who got far. It was always the fearless ones who made it happen. When it comes to a relationship its two people... you cant always ask and receive... but remember you must be willing to do your part too....

"'For i know the plans i have for you,' says the Lord. 'They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. In those days when you pray, I will listen. If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me." Jeremiah 29:11-13

"I look up to the mountains- does my help come from there?
My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth!
He will not let you stumble; the one who watches over you will not slumber...
The Lord himself watches over you! The Lord stands beside you as your protective shade.
The sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon at night.
The Lord keeps you from all hard and watches over your life." Psalm 121:1-7

Love you! God Bless. :]
