i feel pretty damn awesome right now! :)
sooo heres a lil update on the wonderful life that God has blessed me with!
Well i sent my resume out to arrojo almost two weeks ago... and heard nothing. at all.
People think i am mad/upset...or something negative... but yet again, God has revealed to me that things will all fall into place in HIS time... not my own...
I never really felt 100% on the whole arrojo thing, not to say i am not interested anymore--BC I DEFINITELY AM! But theres also other places i can work... and the most important thing to me isnt money, isnt opportunity, or even what I WANT... the MOST important thing to me for everything i do, and for every aspect of my life, is that what i do, where i go--is where God wants me. I cant stress enough at how perfect His plan is, at how perfect His timing is, at how much He loves me (and all of you, in that case) that He would never send me somewhere that was bad for me, or not a part of the plan He has for my life. And the more i dwell in His perfectness... i feel more and more settled about it all.
For the past few months i had this personal "deadline" that i wanted to reach. Kind of my goal plan that i needed to accomplish and i was starting to freak out because it was being pushed back further and further. But than i remembered how silly i sounded... how could i try to play God and act like i knew how everything was gonna fall together--let alone WHEN they would fall together. Im so goofy sometimes. lol
But heres some more cool news... God's guidance coming in a strange package maybe. Funny how He does that sometimes lol...
Sooo i was crying the one night, freaking out, to my hair stylist--well mentor really. Matthew has been close friends to the family since i was about 13... and he also a very established and internationally known in the industry. His work has been featured in many fashion week shows, magazines, and other forms of editorial work... not to mention he, himself, has been featured in numbers of different magazines to recognize him and his accomplishments in the industry... He was telling me not to put all my eggs in one basket... and he even suggested this salon called Cutler's salon (opened by renowned redken stylist Rodney Cutler) in soho... He has worked with Rodney many times for fashion week in NYC and Matthew's boss, Patrick McIvor worked for Rodney... So they are hooking me up with an interview hopefully... and a few nights later i received an e-mail from my friend dave who moved up to NYC with his gf to pursue his career... and in the e-mail, he answered alllll the question's ive been praying about (not to mention, i didnt even ask dave any of the questions that he just answered anyways! CRAZY, RIGHT?) and alsooooo Dave told me that he highly recommended that i checked out Cutler Salon...AND I NEVER EVEN TOLD HIM THAT MATT WAS WORKING ON GETTING ME IN THERE! So a little confirmation from God??? Maybe... but i suppose we'll see...
There's a lot of stuff going on with my extended family that i am pretty much in the middle and doing God's work in... and when i think back and realize that if i really had gone through with everything in MY timeline... i wouldnt have been home to be the Christ light in this situation, something terrible couldve already happened... but since everything was pushed back, i was here, i was able to do the things God needed me to do... and THAT is a miracle in itself.
It just shows that patience and trust and love all work together... you cant be one without the other... And God is all these things...
So i'm taking one day at a time... doing the things He wants me to do in THAT day, and not worry bout tomorrow or yesterday...
Yesterday is gone, so forget about it
Tomorrow is NEVER promised to us
Today is all we have... today is the day that i live because i may never get another.
Ppl refer to today at the present... and it truly is a gift. Love it, thank God for it, and seek His presence in it with every last breath you take. You never know, before you take your next breath, you may be in Heaven before Him.
Love you.
Stace
